The Taurus myth, i.e., the mythology of Taurus the bull, second among 12 zodiac signs comes from ancient Greeks, according to which Jupiter - the father and ruler of the gods - fell for Europa who would care the least for him.

It was then that Jupiter hatched a conspiracy. He disguised himself biologically as a beautiful white bull and went where Europa was picking flowers in a garden.

Europa looked at the bull and immediately got charmed toward the undaunted beauty of the animal. She went near and patted its back while it stayed calm as the most gentle animal ever on earth.

In her curious fun, Europa rode the bull's back who immediately took the benefit of the situation and dashed away as fast as it could so that Europa would not dare getting or jumping down from its back.

Ultimately the bull stopped when the both had already reached back to Crete where Jupiter had come from. On reaching he came out of his biological disguise and revealed his true identity and intentions to Europa.

Europa fell for Jupiter too and the two got married to each other courtesy the bull that Taurus was.
