Gemini mythology, i.e., the mythology of Gemini the Twins, third among 12 zodiac signs belongs to the twin brothers Castor and Pollux who both despite being twins were from two different fathers, one being their mother Leda's official husband, the king Tyndarus of Sparta; and the other being Jupiter who impregnated Leda as a swan.
Eventually Leda gave birth to two sons named Pollux and Castor. Pollux was Jupiter's son and hence was an immortal. He was famous as a strong man all around. Castor grew up as a skillful horseman. The two brothers loved each other more than their own lives.
The first big project that the brothers took over was setting on a voyage and searching for the Golden Fleece as Argonauts. Later they very heroically fought the famous Trojan War and came victorious. Helena, their sister, was brought back home to her husband Menelaus.
Both of them had snow white horses with them, which they very skillfully rode in the wars they fought with their famous spears in their hands. Later they fell in love with the daughters of Leudippus and challenged their suitors Idas and Lynceus to fight with them. Both Idas and Lynceus were killed but Castor couldn't survive either.
A grieved Pollux tried committing suicide but being an immortal failed to die. He begged his father Jupiter to revive his brother who obliged, but not on earth, rather in heavens as the two stars named Pollux and Castor in the constellation that Gemini in the zodiac is.
