Gemini constellation in the zodiac lies in between those of Taurus and Cancer, Taurus lying to its west and Cancer to the east. To the north lie Auriga and Lynx, whereas its south is studded with Monoceros and Canis Minor.

Gemini in Latin means twins linking itself to the story of the twins named Castor and Pollux in the Greek mythology. Its symbol looks like
representing two twins standing side by side.

Besides the clusters mentioned above there are a few more filling the gaps in between. To the southeast lie NGC 2158 and Eskimo Nebula; to the northeast lies NGC 2371. Medusa Nebula is located at the southern tip of the constellation.

Castor and Pollux are the two brightest stars forming the head of the constellation. The rest of the stars lie in two straight lines under Castor and Pollux forming the rest of their bodies. As H.A.Rey sees it, alpha Geminorum forms the head, tau Geminorum torso, iota Geminorum left hand, theta Geminorum right hand, epsilon Geminorum pelvis, nu Geminorum left foot, mu Geminorum along with eta Geminorum right foot of Castor; whereas beta Geminorum the forms the head, upsilon Geminorum torso, iota Geminorum right hand, kappa Geminorum left hand, delta Geminorum pelvis, zeta Geminorum right knee, gamma Geminorum right foot, lambda Geminorum left knee, and xi Geminorum forms the left foot of Pollux.
If we consider the positions in the year 2008, the Sun appeared in Gemini constellation in the zodiac from June 20 to July 20. In tropical astrology, the Sun is taken to be in the sign Gemini from May 22 to June 23, and in sidereal astrology, from June 16 to July 15. That is how these stars affect people born during this period and make the constellations their zodiac signs.
